I decided to change my car interior from parchment to black and decided to try Dupli-color.
After paint, I let it sit for two days before deciding to mask part of it off to do another color.
Before applying the painter's tape, made sure it was dry. Dry as a bone. Masked an area off
and painted the other section. When I removed the tape, some of the black started to come off.
Really not a big deal, since I just had to touch it up, but when the description says it has built
in adhesion, won't peel, etc...and it does? Not good.
So before my next trim I added a few extra steps...scuffed up the trim with some 400 grain
sandpaper, washed/dry and applied two coats of Dupli-color's clear adhesion. Then I painted.
That did the trick.
Since its black, it takes less coats to cover, so one can goes a long way.
The product works great and looks great...just don't believe everything you read when the
company describes its product
