Beautiful color, however, it’s transparent if spraying in stainless steel Which will cause you to use more of the paint (realized this later on). I highly suggest putting down a silver metallic base coat and then this as a top coat. Will order again!

Good product

Nice

Use base coat first. Then color. If you screw up you can hit it with base again to lighten it up or get more consistent look. Used duplicolor engine clear coat when done.

Paint works great for that cobalt blue I wanted on my calipers. Like many reviews before have said the paint IS VERY THING. It is easy to have runs so be very cautious and use light coats to get the color you want. Over all very happy with it but cannot talk about durability just yet.
Mattie Nelson
Great look! A little tricky on how to use, but a great product overall.
Caroline Bernard
Great paint. If you take your time spraying it it will look exactly like an anodized piece of metal. Only need a light two coats. almost a dusting. I put too much the first time and it just looked like blue paint. Use the dupli color base and adhesive for best results. I would suggest applying a clear coat to make it more durable.
Aadam Trejo
Looks great if you put on light coats

Looks great!

Purchased to accent parts on my new motorcycle. I am extremely happy with the final results of the product. The paint dries fast, which is a plus, and is durable. Speaking of durability, for best results you must PROPERLY PREP the material you are painting, and you must GO SLOW with MULTIPLE COATS to get a smooth, even layer of paint.~ If you are painting plastic, please take the time to properly scuff, clean, and use a plastic primer for best results.~If you are painting metal, please use Acetone to remove all contaminents, and prep with a good quality "self etching" metal primer.~ After you have prepped the surface, use a series of very light coats, building up the paint layers until you achieve full effects. This paint will glob and run if you don't, and you will have to clean and start over.~ Finish with a good quality clear coat spray - either shiny or flat, your choice. Allow proper dry time before handling.

Will be using on further projects.

Not as purple as the cap would indicate, more magenta in color. Still, not too bad I guess.
Cobie Steadman
Great spray paint. Excellent color
Octavia Li
Turned out great a lot of people thing I had it powder coated.
Khadeeja Hart
Easy to use . When taping something off you have to take extra care or it will bleed under the tape . I used it to get the anodized look on the drawer pulls on a tool box . Looks great .

Paint is as described. Beautiful

Nothing to dislike. Some of my kitchen appliances are candy apple red, the coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc, and I wanted the knife block to match them. The area to be painted was already red, and a coat of this red metal cast over the existing color did nothing. However, once I primed the surface with chrome paint, and reapplied the metal paint over the chrome, the result is a perfect match. Very happy with this paint.

What a awesome red color amazing!!! I love this color very very hard to find in a spray can I had red spray can before but never like this one I might buy two more just To keep them safe from buyers..

First off, it is important to know that this paint is a "midcoat", meaning it applies a colored tint over the existing paint/finish underneath- so yes, you really must apply this over silver or chrome (and possibly white) paint for this stuff to work properly. That being said, I find this stuff to be amazing! It produces candy paint jobs (when a silver w/ metal flakes is used underneath.) Truth be told, it all about matches Mazda's beautiful Soul Red Metallic paint as well, and I plan to use this to match a spoiler to the factory (41V) paint. The spray tip that comes on the can actually surpised me- it creates a fine mist and does not spray down blobby like a lot of other spray paints do.Follow the directions for good results; they're detailed enough for someone who has used spray paint before. In case if you're wondering why the emblem is wavy and is peeling in some parts: it is all user (my) error, and not the fault of the paint. I could've sanded more evenly, but I was not concerned as that I need to get a new emblem that is not pitted anyway. This is just to show you how the paint looks with a silver metal flake underlayer. I just applied this today, and I am unsure of how durable the finish will be (after the 7 day curing) and how resistant to the Sun it'll be. But for now, looks absolutely amazing. Hope this helps!
April Ballard
The color turned out great. This is VERY thin, so tread lightly!
Timothy Carlson
I painted over the chrome emblem of my truck and its nice. Just peel off the masking tape after and dont wait for it to dry. I have to re paint it because when i removed the tape the paint on the sides came off too.
Nikhil Cummings
Went on easy and color was true
Primrose Brooks
It was good just had some dings and dents on the can here and there. But didnt affect anything really, came out really clean for my engine block
Savanna Mcpherson
Very good paint I used it to paint my brake calipers
Fatema Acevedo

Jaskaran Ford
Excellent product hubby loved it

Matched the color of my 2005 Eclipse perfectly
Clarke Hodge
Just the color i was looking for, i used Duplicolor Universal Silver Metallic for the base and topped with 2 light coats and 2 medium wet coats. If you want a deeper/darker blue add more coats.
Lewis Hibbert
Looks more pink than purple when applied. My opinion.
Neelam Robin
Used this with the silver/chrome base coat on scuffed up black powder coat. Looks amazing! It looks a deeper purple in person. This works like a tint so if you want the color deeper/richer you will have to do more coats. If you want it to look more anodized and bright I recommend painting over either shiny metal or use their silver base coat if you're painting something that isn't originally silver. If you paint over something dull/dark it may not come out the bright/obvious.
Tobias Kane
Looks great on chrome plastics, and trying to consider where else to use it, but it's been great where I've used it so far. Took my headlights apart to paint the projector lens housing to add in some extra red pop along with the STi red. I did probably about 5 coats to get the color I went for.
Eva-Rose Reilly
Muy buen producto excelente color y aplicación fácil muy recomendable
Jia Reid
Worked for what we needed it for!
Torin Allan
Slight learning curve as this product is very thin and runny. I recommend testing on some old wrenches 1st. I also recommend spending time doing prep work for best results. So far I've driven plenty of hills and long hard stops and this seems to be holding up well. I'll revisit in a year for a longevity review.
Anthony Mccann
Product is true to color I layered with silver underneath and then a clear coat came out amazing

Bought this to paint a budded and swirled piece of alumium this color is awesome almost similar to candy apple red except it's more like candy tangerine orange.. the more coats applied the darker and deeper the color make sure you give each coat time to dry completely to choose your level of shade
Deon Povey
Thinots of thin coats LOTS

All ok
Seren Mcfarlane
I used this to paint my guitar and was very pleased with how it applied and the end results!
Sadie Brock
used this to recoat an expensive yard decoration. It looked brand new!
Meera Steele
Worked awesome - color is great. Be sure to use it on shiny bare metal or it won’t work. I used it on standard aluminum sheets from the hardware store. On a side note, I bought this again from pep boys and for some reason their stuff was complete junk, spurting out everywhere and destroyed my project.Buy this from amazon, their stuff is fresher.
Osian Ellwood
Great product
Gwen Decker
Beautiful color great for brakes makes them shine also use a primer to bring out the color more and a clear to shine it out... love the look will be doing more real soon with different colors

This colour is fantastic for its purpose. I used this to paint my anchor plates and my worn wheel nuts. I chose silver only for the plates and the blue tint for the wheel nuts, as I want to paint my calipers with the blue, and think it will look nice together.I see some people complaining about the paint is running. Yes - the paint is very watery, especially the blue. The key word is to use many light coats as is stated in the description on the can. I rinsed and degreased everything with acetone, and then applied three coats of primer. Then three light coats of the base silver then three light coats of the blue tint, and lastly three layers of clear coat. The result in the pictures is great but not as good as irl. I am definitely going to paint my calipers using the excact same method with the blue tint colour.I can't vote for the durability yet, but I have high expectations.

Awesome! Fast shipping and great product!!
Kloe Schofield
I used the paint to paint a resin dragon that holds a globe with led lights that change colors
Drew Park
Used correctly, this is beautiful paint. Follow the instructions.
Siya Berry
Excelente pintura , resistente al agua y cualquier cosa se las recomiendo. Bendiciones
Abdallah Marriott
This stuff goes on incredibly thin and you need to lay down a good base coat to bring out the metal look. If you spray this like any other spray its gonna be a disaster. EXTREMELY THIN COATS, then wait, and repeat, the thinner the better. This spray should not be called paint, its more of a tint that you layer very slowly..BE SURE TO GOOGLE, YOUTUBE how to apply it..Once you see and practice it will get really easy
Zakk Mcintyre
Looks great haven’t used but can’t wait
Annabella Beattie
Came out as expected. The pictures don't really show the true color. Make sure you prep surface well. I also used the metal cast prep coat along with a clear coat. Apply thin coats of the metal cast at a time.
Skyla Ridley
Need to let it dry nice to get this look .
Alannah Dickinson
Velma Escobar
I actually use this to paint rocks . Gives a great effect
Kadie Rasmussen
Such a beautiful color and had no issues using it! My suggestion is to do very light layers.
Kris Bowman
Used it with the primer and turned out way better than I expected
Sheikh Wyatt
Great paint. Use several very light coats
Remi Sanchez
I tried using this to paint this outside of my car. Of course after sanding and using a tack cloth. But as an inexperienced person this didn’t work for me on the outside of my car. So I went with a lacquer paint instead. Which worked great for me. Otherwise this color and paint works and looks great.
Malikah Baldwin
This product looks great on outdoor metal, it gives it a slight color that doesn’t distract from the item.
Mirza Kaye
Made for a nice finishing touch over the other paint.
Alisha Easton
Keep in mind this paint is for CHROME or highly polished finished metal. I’ve used on chrome and polished copper with fantastic results! This paint opens up kinds of creative and fun ways for polished metals.
Morwenna Proctor
Best kept secret in the spray paint industry. I used this specific color on a customers LS engine build and install the day I received the paint from amazon.
Hashim Cardenas
beautiful just make sure that you keep your distance whn spraying and use very light coats till you get the look that you want
Wilfred Cline
I've used several other finishes that have a transparency, and this is by far the best color tones, and brilliant finish. I will be using the Dupli-Color from now on.
Lisa Mckinney
Excellent product
Hakeem Wicks
Can be used on other colors for some cool effects. When put over purple spray paint it makes a dusted over look. Very cool!
Mara Grant
This is supposed to be the right paint for DIY Captain America shields. I had to go a bit heavy on the paint on mine to hide some surface discoloration, so look at other pictures for true colors, but these will give you an idea of what a Captain America shield looks like with a heavy application of the red and blue.Definitely recommended building up light layers, instead of laying down a heavy layer like I did. Good looking paint though. Its definitely a clear type of paint that allows the surface below to show through. I'd thought it was more like a metallic paint that would hide the below surface.Turned out well though!
Pola Workman
A+
Bianca Mcnamara
Nice color and good price but the top cap is broken in the delivery
Sila Diaz
As with any clear / candy type paint it gets darker the more coats you add. I used a silver base and it almost matches some of the anodized items in the engine compartment.
Elissa Bateman
I give this product a 5 star. It matches the cap almost exactly (surface of a fuel tank and the cap are different so makes sense it's not exact). Follow the instructions to a T if you want great results. If you want it to have a solid color through out instead of a little bit of a marble look like my fuel tank then get the metal cast grey it says to pray before because any and all imperfections in the metal will come through greatly. I used the adhesive spray and it helped a lot especially on the muffler.
Salahuddin Shaw
Definitely a great product if used correctly under the right conditions! Take your time, be patient, and use light coats. I did the following(3x coats of primer, 3x coats of Red metalcast, 2x coats of clear coat). I’m no professional so it clearly has flaws. But all in all my happy with the results. Will look more vivid under sunlight and deeper somewhere less illuminated.
Blossom Dorsey
Great product, even spray and easy spray goes on well with silver metallic base. Dont rush the spray do thin coats after about 5 coats you will be amazed. Ps biy the clear as well
Alysha Mcclain
Perfect match for the colors on my race car
Malcolm Marshall
Great stuff.
Kayson Villarreal
I got the blue and purple colors and they are really beautiful. The key, like others have said, is to apply very thin layers. I made the mistake the first time of trying to cover the whole thing and it was a disaster with drips and bubbles. I was under a deadline and ended up scraping the whole thing. Take the advice, go with thin coats!
Neive Rosario
Perfect
Nella Dunlap
Pretty cool product, apply over chromed items, and read ALL instructions BEFORE using!
Colette Farrington
Good paint I like the color too
Raisa Hanson
Great product. Lightly sanded and sprayed under coating on, then laid on the metallic blue. Made my boring Kenmore fan really pop!
Celine Conrad
My favorite red for painting props. Gets pretty runny if you do heavy coats. But as long as you do lots of thin coats it comes out very nice looking.
